The November Sun-Walking Studio Workshop will be led by Amanda Mathews, Founder and Maker, Love Is a Seed, and a Commissioned Artist for the Sun-Walking Fellowship. Amanda Mathews desires to create and collaborate with people in ways that inspire their journey and restore their spirits. She is a jewelry designer, artist, and mixed media teacher living in Louisville, Kentucky. Her designs are created to nurture the heart symbolizing inner growth and divine action. Collections can be found at local art shows, community festivals, and farmers markets with her full-time business Love is a Seed established in 2014. Amanda has received a variety of awards and has been a guest of Festival of Faiths both in 2023 and the upcoming Festival of Faiths: Sacred Imagining this year.
Workshop Summary:
Together we will explore the practice of journal making with new and recycled materials. Reflecting on how we can help our inner light grow and glow brighter. Tiny mirrors will be selected to adorn journal covers. Participants will be invited to fill their journals with words that resonate and help them to refract the distractions in daily life to see their own beloved hearts. |
