2024-25 YAC Application Fee

Audition requirements

The audition fee is $40. There are two ways to apply:

Pay online (here) and submit application submission at gvomusic.org.

Winners if chosen will receive 2 complementery tickets to the concert.

Applications MUST BE received by December 15, 2024

Student performance should be no longer than 15 minutes. Please perform only 10 minutes of excerpts at the audition. Vocalists may perform multiple arias or songs if they are from the same opera or set of songs.

Students are encouraged to memorize music, but not mandatory.

Students must bring to the audition, a copy of the original performance music for the judges.

Using standard repertoire is encouraged. Musicians must choose a piece that can be easily found on IMSLP, the piece cannot be a Rental Only. Orchestra instrumentation should also be considered; full strings, 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, 2 bassoons, 2 trumpets etc.
