Come out and learn about one of the most important families of plants, the Fabaceae or Legume family. The naturalist will teach you how to best grow native legumes from seed. Legumes play a special role in nature because they have a symbiotic relationship with bacteria that fix atmospheric nitrogen. Biodegradable pots, soil and seeds will be provided along with tips on how to improve germination and grow healthy plants.
