Vox Cadre/Davey Harris/Michael Nevin/The Steve Davit Quintet
The Steve Davit Quintet
A saxophonist from the age of 8, Steve Davit is now a world touring musician, recording artist and producer entertaining millions of fans around the globe. Attend a Marian Hill concert, and youll be sure to hear the crowd chant STEVE after one of his sexy sax solos or dance breaks.
Steves current work explores the relationship between our Muse - the voice of inspiration, exploration and spontaneity, and our Editor - the voice of analysis, order and composition. His music ranges from funky sax grooves to the organized chaos of collective improvisation. The current iteration of his ever rotating roster includes the amazing talents of Bell Thompson, Max Hoenig, and Josh Aptner.
Vox Cadre
Vox Cadre started out as an experiment between old friends who spanned the coasts. Each time one of us would write something new, we'd send a demo over the Internet to the other side of the country, where it would be worked on and sent back. After a few years of iteration, we realized that we'd made some pretty exciting sounds and decided to move to New York to develop them further. We've been working on our music for about six years now and are excited to show y'all what we've cooked up. We meld analog synthesizers, complex vocal harmonies, atmospheric sound design and driving dance beats into a stacked array of sonic power.
Davey Harris
Davey Harris is an uncomfortably prolific songwriter, storyteller, multi-instrumentalist (drummer turned singer) and accidental wizard.
Previously, he was the percussionist and co-founder for the band The Tins, which rose to prominence with their breakout hit, The Green Room, and a cover of Bruce Springsteens State Trooper.
Davey loves to fight with himself, weaving opposing sonic sentiments. His musical landscapes are clever, vast, diverse, and full of ear parasites. He mixes the autobiographical with the fantastical, sharing commentary on life, love, sex and dying. Listen carefully and you can hear whispers of subliminal messaging.
Michael Nevin
Michael Nevin began songwriting at the age of 15 as a means to make sense of his unrelenting chaotic thoughts and emotions. At 26, he now considers his sensitivity a gift and feels driven to help connect people with their own feelings. Michaels music strives to embrace the hardships of life with a focus on the importance of mental health awareness and hes not afraid to be raw and vulnerable on stage through his emotion driven vocals and acoustic guitar.
