Savourna Stevenson and Steve Kettley at AMC

Clarsach virtuoso Savourna joins forces with saxophonist Steve, previewing their Cooking Vinyl CD. Savourna and old friend saxophonist Steve, showcase her compositions -a dynamic blend of haunting melodies, pulsating rhythms, stirring improvisations; daring yet accessible. Savourna is known for breaking stylistic barriers between musical genres while maintaining her Scottish roots; collaborations with such as Aly Bain, Eddi Reader and Toumani Diabate; and acclaimed for her recent orchestral and choral works. Steve leads several groups playing his original music, has composed extensively for the theatre and performs regularly with former Scottish national poet Liz Lochhead.
