Putting the Media in Comedian: How to use social media to grow your audience, strengthen your brand and hone your joke-writing.
The goal of this workshop is to arm comics and creatives with knowledge to help them better and more efficiently promote themselves, their brand and their work through social media. This workshop will further benefit the comedy community by helping it gain wider exposure and deeper connections in the community and beyond.
Workshop to include:
- Pick your fighter: Choosing which social channels to use
- On brand: Voice, tone & the all-important bio
- Content factory: What resonates best and how to churn it out
- Hack the algorithm: How to get your stuff seen
- If you cant beat em, pay em: Facebook ads 101
The workshop is founded on the comedy principles of the critically acclaimed Lincoln Lodge, a national leader in cultivating and developing new comedy talent.
This workshop requires no previous performance or writing experience.

Maggie Tomasek is a writer, storyteller, comic, rapper and recovering journalist with 10 years of experience in public relations, communications and marketing.
REFUND Policy: Full refunds are available any time up to 5 days before the first class commences. Refunds after that time are at the course administrator's discretion.
ROLLOVER Policy: If you are not able to participate in class after registration and the refund window has expired you can potentially roll your registration over to the next course session provided space is available. This is subject to course administrator's discretion and a $40 administration fee. Please note there is NO facility to rollover classes once you have attended ANY classes.
