the kates U all female storytelling class - Wednesday - May 2020 ONLINE CLASS
ALL MAY CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS ARE NOW ONLINE DUE TO THE SHELTER IN PLACE ORDINANCE.

This five week all female storytelling class involves a careful examination of the writer's voice via personal narrative with an emphasis on story development, exploration of personal experiences, editing, and presentation. ALL LEVELS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ENROLL AS THE CLASS WILL BE TAILORED TO EACH STUDENT. The class requires no previous performance or writing experience and culminates with a presentation of the material developed in class.

It is a course primarily for writers interested in Chicago's Live Lit community. However, it also meets the needs of students with other interests: as a refresher course for both writers and actors, novice writers, and students and professionals looking to hone point of view and public speaking skills. This course will help students craft personal essays, memoirs or one person shows. The class will culminate in a student graduation showcase, date TBD upon reopening of The Lincoln Lodge venue.

Class Schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, May 20th  7pm - 9pm (CST US)
Wednesday,  May 27th  7pm - 9pm (CST US)
Wednesday,  June 3rd   7pm - 9pm (CST US)
Wednesday,  June 10th  7pm - 9pm (CST US)
Wednesday,  June 17th  7pm - 9pm(CST US)

Grad show date TBD  Upon reopening of The Lincoln Lodge Training Center which is currently closed due to the Illinois Shelter In Place Policies. Following guidance from the City of Chicago with regards to the current Corona Virus situation and with concerns for the health and well being of our patrons, performers and staff The Lincoln Lodge will be closed until further notice.

All students will receive an email no later than one day prior to their class start date which will include a Zoom link and all information on how to access this online class.
