Cancellation - Master Gardener Plant Sale Gala Fundraiser
Master Gardeners know the MG Plant Sale and Garden Market is the place to buy your best plants to get a head start on your gardening season. You can plan to have a great time at the Plant Sale Gala Fundraiser, the first evening of the CUH Plant Sale and support the King County Master Gardeners, too. The Plant Sale opens at 4:00pm Friday evening and the Gala Fundraising event begins at 5:30pm.
The highlight of the evening will be PLANT Talks presentations, bringing ideas that will inspire, enlighten and amuse. PLANT Talks will feature guest speakers sharing their stories of Splendor in the Garden. Special guests include three well-known local experts. Celebrity gardener Ciscoe Morris oh la la! has a new book just out, Oh, La La! Homegrown Stories, Helpful Tips, and Garden Wisdom (Sasquatch Books). Daniel J. Hinkley, plantsman, horticulturist, nurseryman and author of The Explorers Garden: Rare and Unusual Perennials (Timber Press, 2009), is best known for establishing Heronswood Nursery in Kingston, WA and Windcliff Nursery. Richie Steffen is Executive Director of the Elisabeth C. Miller Botanical Garden, president of the Hardy Fern Foundation and co-author of The Plant Lovers Guide to Ferns (Workman Publishing, 2015). With speakers like them, who needs Netflix!
Admission includes 2 drink vouchers, a door prize ticket and catered hors d'oeuvres by Pyramid Catering. Choose from select wines by St. Michelle Chateau Winery and William Grassie Wine Estates. Mac & Jack premium beer will be available.
We hope you will join us for this delightful evening affair and support the Master Gardener Foundation which provides funding for the 600+ volunteer Master Gardeners in our 40 plant clinics and demonstration gardens in King County. Our clinics reach over 28,000 gardeners every year, gardeners who come to us for advice and problem solving every year.
