ABOUT BEATLES NIGHT
Beatles Night consists of ten local performers each performing two Beatle songs. All of the performers are donating their time and their profits from the evening to Josies Place, a local non-profit.
From Jim Bruno, Beatles Night Music DirectorWe did a benefit for Josies Place in September at Noe Valley Ministry. It was the second year we did it and both years it ended up being a very memorable evening that raised funds for a great cause. When Amados opened we loved the venue and realized that this would be a great location to host an additonal Josies Place fundraiser. Were thrilled to be appearing at Amados!
ABOUT JOSIES PLACE
Josies Place provides facilitated peer-support groups free of charge to children and teens in the San Francisco Bay Area who are grieving the death of a significant person
in their life.
Our support groups normalize the grief process, help counter grieving childrens sense of isolation they learn they are not alone - and provide outlets for creative expression of grief. The groups offer children new ways of understanding themselves and their loss, help build self-esteem, and strengthen their resilience. Parents or caregivers meet in concurrent groups. Because the whole family is supported, family ties are often
strengthened as members grow together through their shared grief. |
