Double Bangers is back baby! Were bringing a double bill sketch lineup to the Assembly Theatre that will shake the very foundation of what you know about double bill sketch comedy shows in Parkdale; Whisky Kids and Cereal in a Mason Jar!
Whisky Kids is Toronto's hottest new sketch duo, born from the nerdy, social anxious minds of Clare Blackwood and Ryan F. Hughes. After the sold-out success of their first ever project together, Welcome to the Bunker! at the 2017 Toronto Fringe, Clare and Ryan have continued to entertain audiences with their sketch and improvisation all across Toronto.
Cereal in a Mason Jar leaves the stage messier than they found it. Fresh off their American debut at NYC Sketchfest, this duo made up of Gabe Meacher (Firecrackers, Welcome to Skit Row) and Grace Smith (Generally Hospital, Slow Dancing With Mediocre Boys) uses their background in theatre, film, and improv to imbue their characters with bizarre physicality and uncomfortably human cores. CIAMJ is excited to bring their energetic performance style, absurd premises, and willingness to use the medium of dance to the Double Bangers stage!
