MOMENTUM Training with foolsFURY Theater, Debórah Eliezer, Brian Livingston
How do we continue to inspire, create and build momentum in our work as we live in these uncertain times?
We train together.
Please join company members Brian Livingston and Debórah Eliezer for MOMENTUM Training F19! This training series will focus on key foolsFURY ensemble skills including The Viewpoints, the Suzuki Method of Actor Training, integrated voice and movement, ensemble practice, devising and composition production. We will work with text and play with the themes in our upcoming foolsFURY projects. We will use the body and voice to ignite and re-inspire our creative brain.
We're interested in building a strong cohort of like-minded theater folk for training, community-building, company membership, and casting. We would love for YOU to be a part of it. MOMENTUM will meet 1x/week for 7 sessions.
This is not a casual drop-in series.
We ask for a commitment to all the trainings to build on each session together. Possible public showing at the end of the series.
As an ensemble theater company, we're always looking for ways to build ensemble practice, practitioners, and support others who create within the model of ensemble theater. This series is for the Fall, however, we see your participation as a member of a greater community. MOMENTUM may continue in various forms such as off-site retreats in Sonoma County, opportunities to offer your unique skills, or other innovative ways of working together.
Help Grow a Diverse Cohort!
We welcome all interested folks of any experience and ability, especially those who may be underserved or have not yet had the privilege of accessing this work through in a traditional university setting. We practice creating community held in the values of mutual support, greater equity, physical autonomy and better practices for social justice in our society. Ensemble theater training is a means for social change and we need you in the room to help change oppressive systems. If you have ways to improve our practice, let us know.
