Soroptimist International of Mendocino-Sonoma Coast, Inc. invites you to the 35th Annual Architectural Tour and Gualala Arts Wine Tasting Event. This full day event begins with a self-guided tour of homes in The Sea Ranch/Gualala area and concludes with a wine tasting celebration of Northern California wines at the Gualala Arts Center.
This year we feature 6-7 homes which exhibit the Sea Ranch architectural style using different building materials at different building sites: The ocean bluff, the meadowsand the hillside.
The Sea Ranch began 52 years ago as a vision of living lightly on the land by practicing sensitive building placements in the landscape, use of natural building materials and creating design concepts of the open floor plan. Today, Architects and Designers are exploring new materials and Green Building Practices to create unique homes of architectural interest.
Guests purchasing tickets for the tour and wine tasting will receive a tour booklet with map and driving directions, a wrist band and parking pass. Booklets will be mailed to the address you provided between April 23rd and May 5th. Tickets purchased after May 5th will be available to pick up the day of the tour, Saturday, May 11th at the Gualala Arts Center 46501 Old State Hwy, Gualala 10am-3pm, or the front deck at Two Fish Bakery in Stewarts Point 32000 Hwy 1 10am-12 noon.
Architects, Designers and Homeowners will be present to answer questions and discuss the design/building process. This selection of homes offer inspiring ideas about home designs and feature some fascinating collections of Art and Furnishings.
Following the tour at 3pm is the Wine Tasting Celebration at the Gualala Arts Center where you can sample wines from twenty plus wineries and eat delicious foods. Many of the vintners will be pouring and answering questions. During the event, a Silent Auction and raffle will feature wines and related wine items for sale. |
