Edibles and Endeavors: a fundraiser to support Michele Hays for Oakton Community College
There are too many people in Oakton Community College District 535 who are struggling with underemployment while our businesses search for skilled workers - and Oakton's enrollment is dropping. Oakton Community College needs better resources to connect with the populations most in need of its services, and that is what Michele Hays intends to bring to the table.
Join us for a fun evening featuring delicious nibbles at Jennifer's Edibles, 1623 Simpson St, Evanston, and learn about ways to support minority-owned small Evanston businesses, local nonprofits and Michele's campaign. We will be featuring short presentations from businesses including Sweet Release Bakery and Good, Buttaz&Wax, Geek Empowered, and Code Burnout.
