Spring Trad Arts Class - Chair Caning

Class Description

1. Chair Caning / Steve Emma

April 10 - May 15 (Wed. Evenings) 6:30 - 8:30 pm

Master craftsman Steve Emma teaches open-studio chair caning on Wednesday evenings. All levels welcome, you provide the chair & tools, he provides the rush & reeds.

*Each student must bring to class: a chair to re-cane**, an old large towel, some snap clothespins, a small bucket for water, a snip or small scissor, an ice pick, and spray bottle for water.

Registration Fee: $150.00 / Materials Fee: $10.00

**PLEASE NOTE: if the chair you are re-caning needs any repair, or you intend to sand, strip and refinish the chair, please do so BEFORE you attend the session.

Classes are assigned on a first-come-first-served basis; and though Trad Arts Studio will make every effort to secure my placement, but it is not fully guaranteed.

I further indicate that I have read, understand, and agree to the "CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY" as follows:

For cancellations made two weeks or more prior to the first session, a refund of 75% of registration fees will be issued. For cancellations made within two weeks of the session, a refund of 75% of registration fees will be issued ONLY if a replacement student is found; otherwise, there will be NO refund of registration fees. This policy is necessary to facilitate the sustainable operation of Trad Arts Studio.
