Since 1973, the Historic Pullman Foundation and the Pullman Civic Organization have co-sponsored the annual Pullman House Tour making this one of Chicago's oldest continuing tour of homes. Select homes are chosen each year to present a cross-section of the different types of housing built in the 1880's as part of the original Town of Pullman. Pullman is a City of Chicago, State of Illinois and U.S. Department of the Interior designated landmark district. On February 19, 2015 Pullman was designated as a National Monument, a unit of the National Park System and is Chicago's only National Park facility. Owners of Pullman's landmark houses maintain the historic details on the exterior. The private side of Pullman residences which will be opened to the public for this tour reflect the style and taste of our modern residents including beautifully restored interiors as well as tasteful modern renovations. Join our House Tour weekend celebration and enjoy the Pullman National Monument- see great houses, selected public buildings, exhibits and a video on the history of this unique landmark district, enjoy music, food, antique cars (Sunday only), garage sales and so much more.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS MAY BE USED FOR TOURING EITHER SATURDAY OR SUNDAY Discounted advance purchased tickets help save time on tour day - Discounted advanced tickets can be purchased only through BrownPaper if purchased on or before Thursday, October 10th. Adults : $20; Seniors: $17 (plus a small processing fee)
Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Visitor Information Center on or after Thursday, October 10th, and at the door on both Saturday and Sunday at the regular ticket price: Adults: $25; Seniors: $20.
Advance purchase tickets and day of tour purchased tickets will be available for pick up at the Shared Visitor Information Center (11141 S. Cottage Grove, Chicago) starting at 10:30am and until 4:00 pm each day and may be used for touring either Saturday or Sunday. Houses will be open from 11:00am until 5:00pm. For information call the Visitor Information Center 773-785-8901 between 11-3 every day except Mondays. |
