Valley District Dental Society Education Course
CAD / CAM: A Collaborative Workflow to Optimize Success in Restorative Dentistry Date: Wednesday, March 20, 2019 Location: Union Station in Northampton
Time: 8:00am-4:00pm (Registration starts at 7:30am)
Topic: This full-day presentation will focus on the incorporation of CAD/CAM procedures into the routines of clinical restorative practice. This unique format will present the clinical steps required for success along with the laboratory procedures that complete the successful digital workflow. It will illustrate the range of treatment options that are available today for the fabrication of single tooth restorations as well as more extensive construction. This workshop will also include the use of CAD/CAM in the planning and restoration of implants, removable prosthodontics and a discussion of dental materials optimized for CAD/CAM.
Course Objectives: 1.To understand the basic concepts necessary to effectively use CAD/CAM in both same day and multiple visit restorative dentistry. 2.To become familiarized with some of the new developments in CAD/CAM. 3.To understand material selection based upon clinical indication.
Speaker: Dr. Jonathan Ferencz graduated New York University College of Dentistry in 1971. He completed his specialty training in at NYU in 1984 and was named Clinical Professor of Post-Graduate Prosthodontics and was certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics in 1998. He is Adjunct Professor of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, Clinical Professor at Columbia University School of Dentistry and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta College of Dental Medicine.
THE FOOD: Breakfast buffet of scrambled eggs, French toast, home fries and bacon, assorted breakfast breads, as well as coffee/tea/juice/soda/bottled water. Lunch will consist of a hot buffet with mixed greens salad, chicken picatta, spiced rubbed beef short ribs, vegetarian three cheese ravioli, assorted cookies and brownies, and coffee/tea/soda/bottled water.
THE CREDITS: 7 CEU Lecture The Valley District Dental Society designates this activity for 7 continuing education credits. Recommended audience: Dental Assistants, Hygienists, Office Personnel and Dentists.
