For this edition of Woke 2.0, we are calling on d/Deaf interpreters and artists, hearing artists, interpreters and producers to take part in an important conversation.
We all want to work together, but there are some very real time and financial barriers that prevent us from bridging the gaps between our worlds.
How much should theatre companies be paying for ASL interpretation? What costs are associated with providing accessible and high quality interpretation? Where do we look for funding?
Let's acknowledge that no one person has the answers, but maybe together we can all learn to do better. Lets move past the knowledge phase into action.
This workshop, created in partnership with Cahoots, will be facilitated by Sage Lovell (Artist, Facilitator and co-founder, Deaf Spectrum) and Sedina Fiati (Managing Producer, The Storefront Theatre and APT Facilitator).
ASL Interpretation will be provided.
