This is a concert benefiting the robotics STEM program at Beacon of Hope School in Sorti Uganda. All proceeds go toward building a robotics lab and classroom for the school!
The Beacon of Hope School emphasizes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields in order to give their students the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly technological job market. Six years ago, Beacon of Hope started one of the first robotics programs in Uganda. Their robotics team, with coaching from the CyberKnights FRC 4911 team from Kings High School in Seattle, won two gold medals at an international contest last year and was the first ever East African team to compete in the international FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) competition! This year the Beacon of Hope robotics team competed in the Kenyan FLL Championship finishing 8th of 32 teams! |
