Join us Sunday, February 11th for a wintery Big Grove to Big Grove bike ride! All riders welcome on this chill, no-drop ride. Fat bikes, cross bikes, MTB - choose your best weapon for a February in Iowa. Weather pending, 30 - 45 miles with a half way pit-stop stocked with warm beverages!

Meet at Big Grove Iowa City at 9am for free breakfast and coffee OR join the ride in Solon at 12pm!

1/2 price beers and food specials at Big Grove Solon and free beers in Iowa City for everyone who survived the cold!

This ride is unsupported. That means if you break down, you will need to call a buddy to come pick you up.

Come prepared so you can make the most of day. If you are an avid winter rider then you likely know what you need to do to prepare. In case you need a refresh, here is a list of some things to consider:

Body:
- Visible, bright, flashy, reflective clothes. Yes, this is a fashion show
- Sweat-wicking layers. You will warm-up fast!
- Extra fine wool undies
- Technical biking gloves or hand-warmers
- Windbreaker jacket/vest
- Facemask or scarf for the descents
- Ear coverage that fits under your helmet

Bike:
- Bring front and rear LIGHTS
- Fenders
- Water bottle-don t forget it
- A pannier or pack to stuff layers into
- Winter/knobby tires or ride low pressure for more stability

Geoff s Bike and Ski will be at the Start of the ride doing minor tune-ups so arrive early if you think you might need small adjustments. World of Bikes will be at the halfway point on the way to Solon if you find that mid-route something needs adjusting. We love our Local Bike Shops!
