Title and Deed
Title and Deed, by American playwright Will Eno (known for his broadway play of 2 years ago, The Realistic Joneses, starring Toni Colette and Michael C. Hall).  T&D has had very successful runs in New York and at the Edinburgh Fringe.  It's one man's story of how he came here from his home country in search of some place that he can truly feel "at home".  It's a dark, at times surreal comedy, as he compares the very odd traditions that he grew up with (we begin to realise that we don't recognise the country he's describing) to how we live, and also his misadventures as he tries to come to grips with his new life.

The N.Y. TImes critic: "...a haunting and often fiercely funny meditation on life as a state of permanent exile...gorgeously and inventively wrought, line by line."
The New Yorker:  " (A) droll, tragicomic jewel."

With Christopher Stanton:

Christopher is a Toronto-based performer, sound designer, writer, director, and musician. Selected performance includes Possible Worlds (Talk Is Free / BeMe Munich), Ajax & Little Iliad (World Stage Festival / Brisbane Festival), Assassins (TIFT/Birdland/MTC), Nohayquiensepa (Aluna/Corporacion Bogotá), A Quiet Place (Next Stage), and New Electric Ballroom (MacKenzieRo - Dora Award). Selected sound work includes The Last of Romeo & Juliet (TIFT), The Whipping Man (Obsidian / Harold Green), Ching Chong Chinaman (FuGen), Gruesome Playground Injuries (BirdLand), The Tin Drum, and Minotaur (UnSpun). He has been nominated for four Dora Mavor Moore Awards as a sound designer, one as a director, and four as a performer. Chris is also the Artistic Producer of indie theatre company ARC.

Directed by Stewart Arnott:

Stewart has been an actor and a director for over 35 years. As a director, his recent credits include the SummerWorks Festival award-winning hit, Will Eno's Tragedy: a tragedy; The Swearing Jar (Prairie Theatre Exchange); Tuesdays With Morrie (Campbell House Museum); Vincent River (Cart/Horse Theatre), the world premiere of Pobby and Dingan by Paula Wing at Young Peoples Theatre, The Importance of Being Earnest at the University of Waterloo; Unity (1918) at Ryerson Theatre School, and Amadeus and The Mystery of Irma Vep for Theatre Aquarius. At Prairie Theatre Exchange he has also directed Master Harold and the Boys, Strawberries in January and Kilt; and at The Great Canadian Theatre Company in Ottawa he directed Patience, Unity (1918), It's All True! and Democracy. Later this year, he will be directing Same Time, Next Year at the Lighthouse Festival, and Seminar (starring Tom McCamus) at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre and in the Mirvish season at the Panasonic Theatre in November.
