Closing Night--When Comedy Went to School: NOTE: Larry King now on Skype (see description)
Because of illness, Larry King will now be interviewed on Skype. However, a great program is still on tap with Comedian Sandy Hackett, son of legendary comic Buddy Hackett, along with Ron Frank, the film director, speaking and entertaining the audience after the movie. Lots of comedy at the SVJFF Closing Night Event.

Why are there so many Jewish comedians? When Comedy Went to School answers  this question with an entertaining portrait of this countrys greatest generation of comics  the generation that includes the likes of Jerry Lewis, Larry King, Sid Caesar, Jackie Mason, and Jerry Stiller, all of whom make appearances in the film. The answer is also found in New Yorks Catskill Mountains, where Jewish immigrants transformed farmland into a resort complex. The Catskills provided the setting for a remarkable group of young comedians to hone their craft and become legends.
