Master Gardener On the Road Tour - Lost Treasures of Sauvie Island

Experience 14 varieties of lavender and various lavender products. Involve all five senses during a stop at the Sauvie Island Lavender Farm.

Then it's on to Joy Creek Nursery where we'll learn how to improve drainage in new or existing garden beds by amending them with gravel. Get the correct formula at this interesting stop and pick up a few plants while there.

Come back to nature before invasive species took over from native plants and wildlife. Tour a raccoon camp and Lost Lagoon with its beaver lodge. See the restoration project of a prairie with native wildflowers and the beginning of an oak savannah. Wander through the frog forest and follow turtle highway.

You will also enjoy the non-native landscaping garden, garden art, raised beds, rain garden, entertainment areas and small farm animals that complete this little bit of Paradise Found.
