GASLAND PART II - the long awaited sequel to the EMMY WINNING, OSCAR NOMINATED FILM GASLAND, which brought to the world's attention the dangers of Hydraulic Fracturing or "fracking," now asks the crucial question:  what is the government doing to protect its' citizens' rights to clean air and water?

Gasland Part II depicts Americans from all across the country who are fighting to protect our country's water, land, and air from chemical and methane gas contamination,  many of whom have already had their natural resources contaminated by gas drilling.  New York is now at a crossroads with Governor Cuomo still undecided as to whether or not to allow "fracking" in our State.

Therefore, it is critical that all New Yorkers learn how fracking has impacted people throughout the nation and surprisingly how it is already impacting us here in New York State, including right here in New York city! Most importantly the film demonstrates how money and lobbying by the natural gas industry has influenced legislation and government policies threatening our democratic system of a government by the people for the people.  - Angela Monti Fox
