Nashville Black Chamber's 7th Annual Luncheon & Black Business Awards
The Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce will host the 7th annual NBCC Luncheon and Black Business Awards featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, President of Tennessee State University.

The theme for this year's event, "Moving Forward:  Advancing Diversity and Inclusion," seeks to bring awareness to the area's minority business community.  Dr. Glover, who is in her first year as President at TSU, presented a five-point vision for the university that includes: (1) academic progress and customer service, (2) fund raising and partnerships, (3) diversity and inclusion, (4) shared governance, and (5) business outreach.  She will touch on this vision and how it further translates to Nashville's minority business community during her address.

In 1998, the Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce was founded by Rosetta Miller Perry, publisher of the Tennessee Tribune and Contempora Magazine.  The organization was established in 1998 as a 501(c)3 not for profit organization.

In 2003, the Chamber was re-chartered as a 501(c)4 organization.  This re-chartering allowed the Chamber to function as a Civic Association with members who support its mission and goals.

NBCC Mission
