Peruvian Independence Day at Raymi
Peruvian Independence Day is one of the most important days of the year for Peruvians and lovers of Peruvian culture alike. This year Tutuma Social club has partnered with the Richard Sandoval restaurant Raymi to present "Peruvian Independence Day". This event will feature traditional criollo music with Freddy "Huevito" Lobatón's Bichilo. Featuring Maestro Freddy" Huevito" Lobatón, Maestro Rufino Ortiz, Maestro Yuri Juarez and Maestra Liliana Perez.
Traditional Afro Peruvian music is so unique from all other Latin American music and rhythms. Afro-Peruvian music differentiates itself from Cuban or Brazilian, because clave is not used. No skins or conga - it's all wooden instruments. The rhythms, like the festejo, the landó - are completely original to the coast of Peru.
Your ticket will include entrance to either the 7pm or 9:15pm show, a specially designed tasting with a choice of 4 items all prepared by Raymi chef Eric Ramirez. He will be showcasing some of the most tempting dishes on the menu and a welcome Pisco sour.
A full food and drink menu will be available to try the delicious delicacies that Raymi has to offer. Dance a valse or festejo...either way, you will feel transported back to Peru in the peñas where Afro Peruvian music is preserved. Join us for a night of Pisco, music and food! The ultimate Peruvian experience.
