Graham Villette Quartet Presents the Music of Hank Mobley - Jazz

Featuring Daniel Sim on tenor sax, James Darling on Piano, Brock Meades on upright bass and Graham Villette on Drums. This group was formed with the purpose of paying tribute to one of the greatest saxophonists of the 1950s - 1980s, Hank Mobley. This quartet is comprised of Nanaimo based musicians all with a passion for playing and an intent to spread the message of improvised music. The soulful and hard swinging music that Mobley left behind is a perfect vessel with which to spread this message.

Graham has been playing drums for over ten years and working as a professional musician since the age of 15. He has just completed a Bachelor Degree in Jazz Studies at Vancouver Island University. Graham performs frequently with many west coast based groups, most notably the Nanaimo Musicians Association Big Band under the direction of Bryan Stovall, the John Lee Trio and Villettes personal quartet project, The Music of Hank Mobley.
