Ruzumny lives in an ultra-Orthodox community in Bnei Brak, Israel. He drives beggars to rich people's homes to get money, taking a cut from their earnings and teaching his clients to tell stories that make listeners especially generous. Ruzumny spends the rest of his nights in makeshift casinos and dining halls with the more questionable members of this pious society. Ruzumny's life changes when his wife leaves him and he must take care of his young daughter, exposing her to the dark side of his community.
