Pericles, Prince of Tyre
Performed in rotation in The Playhouse Studio with The Jealous Husband and Sganarelle, or The Imaginary Cuckold by Moliere.
A sweeping, sea-faring epic of an everyman, Pericles takes us on a wild, fairy-tale adventure. Like Odysseus, Pericles must brave great obstacles: riddles, plagues, shipwrecks, pirates, loss, love and death itself in order to reach home and redemption. One of the first plays to be produced after the Restoration and the theaters were reopened in London in 1660, Pericles figures the human journey out of torment and chaos into joy and order through the workings of the divine soul.
Tickets are no longer available online for the performances April 18-21. Tickets will be available at the door beginning one hour prior to the performance.
