Family Program: Disco Culture and Style
Take a trip back to the Disco Era and the 70s! How would people who liked disco music have dressed or decorated in the late 1970s? What music did they listen to and how did they dance? Learn about disco culture and style with DJ Oliver as he spins records to explore the disco sound. Participants will make their own mini lava lamps, design record labels, and use paper dolls to create a designer disco look. Kids will end the workshop by learning one of the signature dance moves of the Disco Era! Appropriate for kids age 5-12 accompanied by an adult, no charge for adult.
