My Refuge is Humanity: Music and Poetry Celebrating Immigrants and Refugees in Minnesota
My Refuge is Humanity -- Music and Poetry Celebrating Immigrants & Refugees in Minnesota is a concert and community event to unite the Twin Cities in support of its diverse communities through song, speech, and art. We will gather together as a gesture of love and support for Minnesotans whose diversity and culture have made the Twin Cities a better place for all of us to call home. Performances will span both traditional and modern works, revealing an authentic glimpse at the many cultures of Minnesota.

The event will feature spoken word poetry, dance, music and choral performances of a repertoire drawn from Latin America, North Africa, and the Middle East, led by conductor Ahmed Anzaldúa.
