Originally from Boston, Rick was a recurring sketch performer on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and a finalist in the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition. Hes appeared on shows such as Stand-up-Stand-up (Comedy Central), National Lampoons Funny Money (GSN), Laughs (Fox) Comedians Unleashed (AP), Grand Slam Comedy Jam (UPN), West Coast Comedy (Starz/Encore) and Comedy Time. He has also worked clubs all across the country, entertained our troops in Japan, Korea, Italy, Bahrain, and Germany, and performed aboard Celebrity Cruise Line throughout Europe and the Caribbean.

Off-stage, Rick has produced 3 stand-up specials for Showtime (SHO): Going Native, Green Collar Comedy Slam and The Godfathers of Comedy. He also directed, wrote, and co-hosted Half Hour Happy Hour a late night comedy show on the CW Network in northern NV & CA from 2008-12. Most recently, he got a distribution deal with New Wave Entertainment & Comedy Dynamics for his is comedy/doc, 1 Minute Comic (The Rob Sampson Story), featuring some of the biggest names in comedy today including: Bill Burr, Bobcat Goldthwait, Nick Swardson, Gilbert Gottfried, Rich Little, Kevin Pollack & the late Mickey Rooney! It will be available on Hulu, Netflix & Amazon Prime in 2017.
