OPENING CHICAGO ARTISTS PERFORMANCE: Amaia
Performances: 7 7:15 pm. OTS Faculty 7:15-8:30 pm. Alba Heredia
Alba Heredia belongs to the Maya family. A niece of the famous Maya artists Manolete, Mario Maya and Juan Maya Marote, she dances since a very early age in La Rocío, the famous cave of her grandmother in Sacromonte. Trained by the great maestros in Granada and Sevilla, Alba makes her debut with 11 years in the most prestigious tablaos in Madrid, and she quickly sets foot on the international stages as she matures artistically. In 2015 she participates in the XXII Competition of Flamenco Dance El Desplante in La Unión (Murcia, Spain), the most prestigious award in the world of flamenco, and is awarded with the first prize. |
