FROM THE GROUND AND UP - SUMMER GARDENING WORKSHOP
Educational summer workshop for Master Gardeners, home gardeners and garden enthusiasts, Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Choose your path for the day from 8 morning classroom sessions and 5 afternoon hands-on sessions.

After you pay, you will receive a confirmation of your payment, and a link to follow to select the workshop from each of the 3 sessions.  PLEASE NOTE:  Session 3, Building a Hypertufa in is filled and in Session 1, Pruning is closed.

Session 1:  8:45-10:00

                      for Improving Soil Structure

    * Scott Vergara:  Pruning
    * Lisa Taylor:  Small Space Gardening- Grow More Food on a
                    Tiny Footprint

Session 2:  10:15-11:30
    * Craig Cogger:  Protect & Keep Your Soil:  Cover
      Crops, Mulches & More.
    * Dennis Paulson:  Dragonflies
    * Scott Vergara:  Rhodys, Japanese Maples, Hydrangea,
            & other shrubs, culture and pruning.
    * Lisa Taylor:  Everlasting Harvest-Growing a Year Round
                    Edible Garden.

 *Keynote Speaker:  Daniel Mount:  Gardening in the  
                    Pacific Northwest-The Japanese Influence.


Carpools to the Farm for afternoon hands-on sessions 1:30 - 2:00 pm

Session 3: 2:00 - 3:30 pm
    * Jim Kropf:  Identifying Weeds.
     
    * Cyndi Stuart:  Developing a Hummingbird, Butterfly,
                     & Bee Friendly Garden.
    * Master Gardeners: Luginia "Gina" Comfort, Krish Nelson,
                        and members of the Propagation Group-
                        Propagation of Soft, Semi-,& Hardwood
                        Cuttings.                            
    * Scott Vergara:  Building a Hypertufa Garden.
                      (Please note: $5.00 fee, cash or check to
                       be paid at the workshop. Those who watch,
                       but do not participate in making a hypertufa
                       container do not have to pay.)
    * Lisa Taylor:  Farm Walkabout:  Becoming a Garden
                    Naturalist
