In Case We Stay - Vanessa Smythe
This companion piece, In Case We Stay, begins not with a final word to one another, but looks at our currently divided state and asks us how we might bridge our way back to each other instead. Rather than say goodbye before we go, how do we come together, while we stay? Again through a series of moments some reprised from Disappear and others new from heroic childhood birthday parties to colliding with a stranger in the wake of war we are invited to look through the pain and struggle, and see the sometimes small but affirming moments of magic in our lives.
