Take a tour of Asia by making Asian dumplings -- from scratch. Celebrated cookbook author Andrea Nguyen will guide you to discover why Asian dumplings are fun, uncomplicated, and wonderfully satisfying foods. You'll prepare different doughs, wrappers, fillings, and dipping sauces, then learn to shape handsome dumplings, and finally cook them to perfection.
Andrea will help you master Asian dumplings, many of which require only supermarket ingredients. She'll also share shopping tips and culinary history from her book, Asian Dumplings, which in 2012 was named by Cooking Light as one of the best Asian cookbooks in the past 25 years. Bring your copy or buy one at the class for Andrea to sign for you.
This is a 4-hour, hands-on class that goes from 11am to 3pm so be prepared for lots of cooking, eating and learning!
The recipes you'll make in class include:
- Gingery Wontons in Chile Oil
- Chicken and Shiitake Siu Mai
- Classic Pork and Garlic Chive Pot Stickers
- Baked Curried Chicken Buns
- Shanghai Pan-fried Mini Pork Buns
- Cantonese Shrimp Har Gow

If you need to cancel less than two weeks prior to the class date, you may request a credit to be used for another class within the calendar year.
