Julian Price
Envisioning Community. Investing in People.
Directed by Erin Derham.

Julian Price was a thoughtful, gentle man who changed lives, and transformed a community. While there were many people involved in Ashevilles revitalization, Julians impact was significant. His donations supported organizations like Self-Help Credit Union, Asheville Greenworks, Mountain XPress, Pack Place Arts & Science Center, the Grove Arcade Public Market Foundation, Scenic NC and the Coalition for Affordable Housing. Through Public Interest Projects, he invested in iconic downtown businesses like Malaprops, Zambra, the Laughing Seed and the Orange Peel and renovated buildings for housing like the Carolina, the Asheville Hotel and the Old Penneys Building. He generously shared his financial wealth with the community, but his biggest contributions were his understanding that small things can have a big impact and his ability to find great people and give them the trust and support they needed to succeed.

Julian Price is a must-see for anyone who loves living in or visiting Asheville and solidifies Derhams status as an elite filmmaker. - Edwin Arnaudin for the Asheville Citizen-Times

Julian helped start the movement of good ideas that changed Asheville. When people come here and stroll our sidewalks, they are walking past a lot of little trees that Julian planted. A lot of little ideas and trees that have grown tall. What this movie keeps whispering to us is : Weve all got a handful of seeds. And making a ramp, helping someone past an obstacle, that's a simple thing, but it changes everything.  - David Wilcox, singer and songwriter, after viewing the film

Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Y.E.S. (Youth Education Scholarship) Program at Diana Wortham Theatre.
