Day camp for grades 2nd-6th to study Puppetry Arts. Students learn to build puppets and create original puppet shows featuring the many disciplines of puppetry with the most experienced puppeteers in Austin. Learn teamwork, hands-on building skills, storytelling, and creative problem-solving in a fun, supportive, collaborative environment.

JUNE 27TH - JULY 1ST
HOURS 8AM - 4PM. Classes run 9AM - 3:30PM, with unstructured creative time from 8AM - 9AM and after 3:30PM to allow for parent schedules. Parents are welcome to drop off as late as 9AM and pick up at 3:30PM.
COST $300 ($250 EARLY BIRD SPECIAL AVAILABLE) STUDENTS SHOULD BRING THEIR OWN SNACKS AND LUNCHES

ON FRIDAY THERE WILL BE A SHARING FOR THE FAMILIES AT 3PM.
ABOUT GLASS HALF FULL THEATRE: Glass Half Full Theatre has won multiple local awards for their outstanding puppetry and theater from the Austin Critic's Table and the B. Iden Payne Awards, including The David Mark Cohen New Play Award, The Visionary Vivifier Award, and Outstanding Original Script, Direction, Puppetry and Sound Design awards. Recent Austin productions include Peter and the Wolf (Stateside at the Paramount), Cenicienta: A Bilingual Cinderella Story, & Once There Were Six Seasons (Zach Theater); as well as shows for adults (FupDuck, The Orchid Flotilla, Simple Sundries, The Missionary Position).
Caroline Reck (Artistic Director & Lead Teacher) has been an educator and puppeteer for over 15 years. She has led puppet workshops for children and adults in France, Belgium, and The Dominican Republic, and across the United States. In Austin, she has taught puppet workshops for Saint Stephens, Creative Action, the Working Artist Workshop Series, and Scottish Rite Theater. Caroline was an instructor at the National Puppetry Conference at the Tony Award Winning Eugene ONeill Theater Center in Connecticut. She has worked with & studied under renowned puppeteers across the nation including Jim Rose, Ronald Binion, Philip Hubert, Larry Reed, Martin Robinson, Dan Hurlin, Roman Pasca, and Connor Hopkins).
