Tomten + Shenandoah Davis land at Space Craft
Brian Noyeswatkins, Lena Simon and Jake Brady grew up in Carmel, Los Angeles, and Seattle, respectively. They absorbed all the timeless and elegant classic LPs they could get their hands on (favorites include: all things Big Star, XO and Either/OR, Hunky Dory, and Rubber Soul). They met each other at art school, and started crafting sweet and subversive pop songs with stately organs and pianos, sweeping guitars, and resplendent harmonies.
With a sound both familiar and new they've played Pacific NW festivals such as Bumbershoot and Capitol Hill Block Party, a week of shows in Iceland, and have toured the West and East coasts. The songs on their album Wednesday's Children feature a keen sense of assured swing with shambolic passion. The LP was recorded with engineer Andy Meyer (Tea Cozies, Ghosts I've Met). Wednesday's Children was released on Flat Field Records summer of 2012.

Growing up studying classical piano, Shenandoah Davis cites influences such as Claude Debussy and Irving Berlin right alongside her more contemporary counterparts such as Kate Bush, Owen Pallett, and Van Dyke Parks.  Her songs have been branded everything from parlour music to new folk to orchestral pop.
Shenandoah has taken her music all over the country, as well as to Japan, the UK, Germany, Portugal and Italy.  She has shared stages with Laura Marling, Zoe Keating, Martha Wainwright, Mirah, Dark Dark Dark, The Lumineers, and many many more.
As a musician in Seattle, she has collaborated with the Portland Cello Project, the Seattle Rock Orchestra, Grand Hallway, and the Seattle International Dance Festival. She has participated in artist residencies in Fairfield, Iowa and at the Art Monastery in Umbria, Italy, and is currently writing a follow-up record to 2011's 'The Company We Keep' and playing DIY and house shows in the Pacific Northwest.
