Since 1995 Natty Nation has been keeping the positive messages of their unique indigenous Wisconsin reggae beats throbbing through the heartland. Their messages of peace, love, community, & spreading positive vibrations have been ringing out since Natty's inception.
Natty has backed up reggae legends Lee "Scratch" Perry, and Chaka Demus & Pliers, and shared the stage with Ziggy, Damian, & Stephen Marley, Sister Carol, Steel Pulse, Burning Spear, Wailing Souls, Culture with Joseph Hill, Beenie Man, & countless others.
JAH Boogie and his backing band's tight but fluid, rootsy but funky, beautiful but gritty, righteous but real vibration is clear to anyone listening to their music, either at a show or on their stereo.
It's almost impossible not to dance at a Natty live performance. Every Natty Nation concert is a different experience. Their energy is infectious & their dubtastic jams are complex, yet their message is simple--spread the positive vibration.
Mikel Wright and the Wrongs:
Based out of Minneapolis, Mikel Wright & The Wrongs brings some of the collective best of what Midwest has to offer. Mikel broke fast onto his local music scene in 2007 and has since earned a respected national reputation for cultivating ridiculous bands and unforgettable nights of music. Mikel's vision has been embraced by some of the best players in The Twin Cities. Due to his no nonsense attitude and natural ability to connect with audiences, players such as American Idol finalist Reed Grimm and The Voice's star Nicholas David, as well as the very best from a city full of top notch musicians have chosen to join Mikel on the tour stage.
Being huge fans of bands like String Cheese Incident, Umphrey's McGee and Lettuce, their music is rooted in funk but transcends many genres with every set.
Mikel Wright & The Wrongs are always a get down!! Audiences will agree as they wipe the sweat from their brows and nurse sore legs from dancing.
With a well received debut album "We Get Down", and now their sophomore release "Album #2.0", they are touring nationally to spread the word!
DJ Trichrome:
DJ Trichrome the 'Vibesetta' has music flowing through his veinshe started playing drums at the age of 10, enjoyed raiding his dad's record collection and was DJing his school dances and starting bands and getting some radio experience startingin the 1980s and keeps raging the turntables.
Trichrome maintains his own niche in this world of digital mediawith REAL VINYL! He has been spinning records for more than 25 years and is JUST getting started.
His career as DJ Trichrome started in 1998 alongside Pacesetter Sound System and then Formula Sound System in Madison, WI. In 2001 Trichrome moved to Minneapolis, MN where he formed III Kings Sound System and founded Trichrome Productions in 2004. Trichrome went on to DJ weekly roots and culture events for over 5 years, before making his way back to Madison, WI (2008) where he currently resides and can be heard DJing reggae music at venues like Majestic, Alchemy, High Noon Saloon, Nattspil, throughout the city, across the country and beyond with local and national acts.
