2015 Bloomingdale House Tour hosted by the Bloomingdale Civic Association
The Bloomingdale Civic Association hosts its "Historic, Hip and Happening" biennial House Tour and Art Show. REQUIRED Tour Check-in will occur between 1:00pm - 5:00pm, while Tour Homes will be open until 6:00pm; Art Show and Reception will be 4:00pm - 8:00pm
The Tour involves more than the viewing of some of Bloomingdale's most distinguished renovated century-old homes and historic sites: It is a celebration of the re-invention, dynamism and diversity of this urban village. The Tour also includes workshops by Bloomingdale designers and architects focused on interior design and landscaping challenges of urban living and historic row houses, discussions with architectural history experts from Howard University, a tour of interest to adults and kids of the DC Water First Street Tunnel site that is transforming the neighborhood's infrastructure, and an Art Show and Reception at the neighborhood's historic and hip Old Engine 12 Firehouse Restaurant.

-Bloomingdale: A Unique Neighborhood Of Historic Architecture 1:30pm-2:00pm, Howard University Professor
-Lighting 101: 2:30pm-3:00pm, Interior And Lighting Designer Zach Sherif
-Color It: 3:15pm-3:45pm, Interior Designer Tynesia Hand-Smith
-Stage It: 4:00pm-4:30pm, Interior Designer Tynesia Hand-Smith
-Landscaping The Urban Garden: 4:30pm - 5:00pm, Landscape Architect Molly Scott
House Tour proceeds are primarily earmarked for college scholarships for Bloomingdale youth, as well as community beautification and other community enhancement efforts.
