ARCHER MONK:

Archer Monk is singer songwriter T. Wold and "Wanderdust" is the first album under this name and his third album to date. "The Folkadelic Two Step" (2006) was recorded in Australia all on his own when he was living near the beach, drawing comparisons to Nick Drake while 2010's "Buried Transmissions" was recorded at The Terrarium in Minneapolis with a full band and the feel of a folkier Tom Petty.

His latest, "Wanderdust", was recorded and produced by Jonathan Burnside (The Sleepy Jackson, Melvins) in and around San Francisco and with plenty of pedal steel, organ and slide guitar, it is an Americana road trip from Wilco to Eels but with the distinct T. Wold songwriting and delivery.

After growing up in Decorah, Iowa and surviving as the youngest of 6 kids singing and touring the US, Scandinavia, Western and Communist Europe with their parents as "The Christenson Family Singers", he attended college in Minnesota and spent his 20's keeping Minneapolis as home base playing coffee shops and clubs with the acoustic duo "80 Bones". On New Year's Eve 1999, his heart had an epiphany and he moved to Australia for 8 glorious years. Since 2008 he's been living in the redwoods just over the bridge from San Francisco.
