Donna Dubain will be teaching the Improv games of Viola Spolin. Viola Spolin is the Mother of Improvisation. Her games focus on releasing the intuitive and being present in the moment, have generated all Improvisational Theatre worldwide.Her theatre games are at the core of The Groundlings, Second City, Upright Citizens Brigade, & on the show "Whose Line is It Anyway."

Dubain is honored to be a member of the very last professional players that she directed, The Spolin Players. She is still performing with this multi-talented ensemble of seasoned professionals who work regularly in theater, television, film and various media.

This work relates to all aspects of acting. One reason live theatre is so magical is that it is never the same. The words may be exactly the same, the set the same, the actors the same but the moments that transpire are always different and alive. That's good theatre, good acting...these theatre games give you a formula to access your own personal truth and fly with it.

What will be explored in these workshops/classes will give the players a tool that can be used in auditioning, performing, writing, directing or just being able to maneuver through your experiences with confidence that allows you to handle social or work situations with grace and humor. Sounds like a lot of big promises but come join us for a journey into the intuitive and you will be amazed at what you will discover.
