We are so very excited to host the ever talented and beautiful choreographer and dancer Leah Marie Bueno here at Little Boxes Theater for an evening full of movement.
The workshop will begin with a comprehensive ballet barre designed to awaken the body and mind. Dancers will be challenged to move as a fully articulating body, utilizing contemporary system to approach ballet technique in a different way. From there dancers will work collaboratively in order to create a fully functioning piece in only a few short hours. Through the use of dissected phrase work and improvisational techniques dancers will learn the best way to generate movement, find their own physical potential as artist, and seamlessly transition between ballet and contemporary genres.
This wonderfully comprehensive workshop will culminate in a showing of the work produced that day.
**This will act as an audition for future projects for interested participants.
Please do feel free to join us for the showing afterwards if not the workshop as well :)
The showing will be around 8:30pm.
